The goal of the project was to produce a series of high-quality documentary videos that detailed the historical migration of Syrian Christians from Central Kerala to the Malabar region. This involved capturing, editing, and publishing the documentaries on YouTube, thereby enhancing the channel's content library and providing educational and cultural insights supported by the Catholic Archdiocese of Thalassery.
The project faced several challenges, including the need to accurately capture historical details, the complexity of coordinating interviews and client meetings, and the necessity to maintain high production standards to attract and retain YouTube viewers. Additionally, the project required a cohesive visual identity to effectively communicate the documentary's themes and maintain audience engagement.
To address these challenges, I took on multiple roles including graphic designer, camera operator, and video editor. I meticulously planned and executed the video shoots, ensuring all historical details were accurately portrayed. Utilizing advanced editing techniques, I created a polished final product. Additionally, I developed compelling posters, logos, and visual materials to maintain a strong visual identity. This comprehensive approach resulted in a successful series of documentaries that were well-received by the audience and significantly contributed to the growth of the YouTube channel.
